Thunder Valley Spur

I enjoyed eating at Spur they serve customers with love, kindness and smile. The food was very delicious. The atmosphere was very good.

Had an absolute blast at Spur woodlands, the staff is friendly the service was fast & efficient (thank you Nolo) the food was fresh and got to the table while it was still hot. The kids play area is neat, no hazardous elements to be concerned about. And the lady doing the face painting on the kids does an amazing job. 10/10 well deserved woodlands team, keep it up.

Absolutely the BEST SPUR we have been to. Huge seating area, fantastic friendly service and an unbelievable 20 minutes wait for our delicious food in a packed restaurant. The cleaning of tables after people left was immaculate - not just clearing and cleaning tables but also the seats and floor under the tables. So impressive that I had to compliment the staff and manager. We will be back for second time while we wait for afternoon visiting hours at the local hospital.

We met my family for a celebratory breakfast. We brought our own champagne, paid our corkage and was brought wine glasses but Petrus who opened our champagne replaced the wine glasses with champagne glasses. It was very sweet of him. Thank you to Daniel and Petrus for great service. The boerewors is really nice. Best Spur experience I've ever had.

Excellent family restaurant located conveniently in near one of the entrances to Woodlands Boulevard shopping centrum. The restaurant is relatively large and offers a rather substantive indoor play area for the children. Child care staff are available to look after the children. Some fun activities for the children are available, including: 1. Face painting 2. Temporary "tattoos" - simply watercolour paint that comes in a pre-printed format that the kids stick on. It washes out with some soap and water and costs like R5. 3. Video games Upon our visit, the child care staff seemed to be rather somber, uncertain if this was a one-off event, though they still seemed competent. Food is tasty and the portions are large, however, it is rather pricey. Having dined at several restaurants, I am a little disappointed by this. The price structure feels to me that it compares to that of a fine-dining steakhouse, while the quality is not quite priced accordingly. The food is good, but it is most certainly not worth R240 for a steak. This would be my greatest critique and the primary reason we do not visit the Spur franchise as often as we had. Within the price class that you find yourself, you can easily justify visiting an upper class restaurant, the sort of place where your waiter wears a bowtie. Spur is not really in that class, yet prices itself as if it is. Waiting staff are above average, do keep in mind that the usual "Spur birthday song" is a tradition in the restaurant, where the waiting staff will sing to every person who had a birthday. It can become annoying by the 4th time, though this is part of the culture of the restaurant, so be forewarned if this is not your type of place. Overall, good, would recommend for anyone with children looking to spend a fair amount on dinner.

The most heart warming staff always friendly the waiters are top tier. I whole heartedly recommend this Spur whenever you are in or near the area. The food is AMAZING. Thank you Thabo and Saartjie you made this experience possible to ENJOY EVERY TIME WE VISIT.

Second time visiting this Spur branch. Fast service, good food. Leave the soccer, show more sports like Cricket, Rugby, Athletics, Wrestling, etc. Not a fan of the Soccer shown.

We really enjoyed this Spur. It is spacious, clean and the staff is friendly. You can also sit right next to the play area with an unobstructed view of your child(ren). An overall good experience!
